Grandpa's VCR
Grandpa’s VCR Needs Your Gunter Skills To Win *AWESOME Prizes*Grandpa’s VCR is the mobile gateway to a digital scavenger hunt of ginormous proportions! The game embraces the amazing world of the 1980’s and early 1990’s - a time when computers entered our homes and the internet took over our lives. The game begins by you simply setting the current time on your Grandpa’s VCR (sadly, a hopeless task for him-- as is working the answering machine, the microwave, the car radio and so much more… sigh.)Once the time is set, players enter the larger game and ransack the digital realm for solutions to wickedly complex puzzles. Single players and teams will race around the virtual globe to find clues that lead them to a grand finale and a cash prize that will build swiftly as more people join the hunt. And it all starts… with Grandpa’s VCR - Download It Today!---------------------------------Who Is This Game For?This game is for Achievers, those who like a good challenge, badges and an AWESOME cash prize. For Explorers who like the hunt through a forest of books, music, events, and maps. For Social Gamers who team up with friends to discuss and solve puzzles by drawing on the strength of their hive mind. For Hackers who like to pound on puzzles and scour for obscure details to solve a problem. For Erudite Gamers who thrive on competition and fly solo only to show they are the smartest and best. Better known by the Nom de Plume: Mr./Mrs.SmartyPants. (Finally! A game to PROVE you are the smartest person alive!!)And for the Work-A-Day Slaves - all those who need a fun distraction from their boring job.---------------------------------About me:I have been playing games my whole life starting with “Tennis” on my Studio II, to self-made games (I saved on cassette taps!) on my TI-99, to everything under the sun on the consoles of the 80s. From this education, my goal has always been to develop games that seek to entertain with great gameplay and humor. My latest effort, Grandpa’s VCR, is an idea I began over 13 years ago while working at Crude Games, a microscopic mobile app company. Through the years, the game has evolved and grown with new ideas and puzzles, all of which reference my childhood in the 1980’s and 90’s, a pivotal time of tech and pop culture for me. (I heart you, Ernest Cline!)
