Created as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Curious Collections project, we are delighted to highlight some of the stranger or lesser known collection items on permanent display at Hull Museums, The Ferens Art Gallery, Hull History Centre and Burton Constable Hall. Curious Collector takes its inspiration from the “Bill Bailey’s Cabinet of Curiosities” exhibition at Hull Maritime Museum and Burton Constable’s own curious collector, William Constable, who housed his acquisitions in his own pers

William’s collection is now the only surviving English cabinet of curiosities in its original country house setting.Visit all of the venues and use the app to collect all of the “curios”; choose your favourites to create your own digital cabinet of curiosities.
