i-SCOPE project envisaged the development and validation of services for smart cities, based on interoperable three-dimensional models on an urban scale. Three are the application areas: greater inclusion and mobility of differently-abled and visual impaired users through technologies that help them overcome barriers at city level and that support them during their daily urban trips; maximisation of solar energy efficiency through services equipped for supplying a precise appraisal of energy dis
persion and of the possible exploitation of the solar potential of each individual building; noise mapping services for the most exposed areas to noise pollution based on data directly provided by citizens, who will act as sensors thanks to their smartphone. In particular, this application offers a system of data collection so as to allow crowdsourcing in range of the urban architectural features evaluation. Thanks to this application, the user will become active part of the project, letting the data collected in the urban area be accessible to everybody. Moreover, this same application allows collecting textual data, to take pictures and to recover geographic coordinates both through GPS and through the interactive surfing of the Open Street Maps. The data collected will be sent to the project server and will be consulted through the applications support website.
