Located in the heart of the City centre, the Gibraltar Museum is housed in an historic building part of which dates back to the 14th century when the Rock was under Muslim rule. It first opened its doors on 24 July 1930 and has served as Gibraltar’s national museum ever since with exhibits dedicated to the Gorham’s Cave Complex UNESCO World Heritage Site and its Neanderthal heritage, telling the story of the discoveries in anthropology, archaeology and biology which have been made in Gibraltar s
