Instant Reading è un tachistoscopio, cioè uno strumento in grado di mostrare una serie di immagini o testi per un tempo prefissato, che può essere molto breve.Attualmente il tachistoscopio viene utilizzato soprattutto per la riabilitazione nei DSA (Disturbi Specifici dell'Apprendimento). Tra gli scopi principali, l'esercizio e lo sviluppo dell'accesso diretto alla lettura (detto anche via lessicale), cioè la capacità di riconoscere globalmente una parola scritta richiamandola dal proprio repertorio lessicale. Gli esercizi sono costituiti da liste di parole, sillabe e non-parole, di cui l'app presenta un elemento alla volta, lasciandolo visibile per un tempo prefissato dall'Operatore (regolabile fra frazioni di secondo e alcuni secondi).Instant Reading propone oltre 130 liste, formate da circa venti elementi ciascuna.
