We utilize only the best equipment available for your property. We run a 2019 Bobcat T870 track loader paired with a Denis Cimaf drum mulching head with planer style teeth. We feel that this setup produces the highest quality mulch in the smallest amount of time while leaving a minimal footprint on your property. Our mulching head is capable of turning any size/variety plant material into a fine mulch. When comparing prices between companies, please ensure that you are accounting for the type equipment that will be operated on your property, the condition of the equipment and most importantly, the experience of the operator. The lowest bid can often times offer low quality work, increased overall costs and a litany of safety issues. How do we bid and charge? Once an appointment is secured, our principal bidder will walk the property with the client upon arrival. During this time he will record type and size of plant material on the property, ease of access to the property, and discuss your vision for the property. After a detailed assessment is made, the principal bidder will give you an estimation of how many hours will be required to meet the goals for your property and an hourly rate. Typically, we stay under the total hour estimation. What is forestry mulching and why would I want to do it? Mulching, or forestry mulching, is the process of converting leftover brush, trees and heavy branches into a biodegradable, organic and highly beneficial layer of ground covering. A forestry mulcher is a specialized commercial machine capable of mulching (grinding) entire standing or downed trees and vegetation leaving the grindings as a "mat" on the forest floor. The “mat” that’s left behind is an excellent way to help prevent noxious weeds from appearing, adds vital nutrients to the surrounding “keeper” trees and aids in overall soil structure value. We can efficiently clear land at costs up to half that of hand cutting methods with no hauling or burning that would result from conventional clearing. By using a forestry mulcher, there are less steps involved in the land clearing process including site prep, cutting, felling, hauling the material and site clean-up. Since the forestry mulcher is capable of handling many jobs, it eliminates the need for a bulldozer, excavator, tree shearer, wood chipper/grinder and transport vehicles.
